Start with Urinbo’s pork-bone broth and thin noodles. One diner who chose the braised-pork rice set at lunchtime described the rich broth and fine noodles alongside rice topped generously with spring onions and braised pork. Another visitor found the broth flavourful but not too heavy, and the thin noodles easy to eat. Add red pickled ginger or spicy pickled mustard greens from the table to adjust each mouthful to your taste.
For a generous range of toppings, there is also the loaded ramen, topped with mentaiko, spring onions, egg, wood ear mushrooms and chashu. One diner added nori and enjoyed it with the broth; another ordered spring onions and egg separately to eat with rice. Gyoza and beer are another way to round out a ramen meal, leaving plenty of room to make it your own.
Urinbo is open from 11:30 to 14:30 for lunch, and from 18:00 until 2:00 the following day for dinner—an option for a late-night bowl, too.
